RIPA, an innovation platform in imaging and radiochemistry serving health research.
Since 2013, GIP CYROI has operated a laboratory dedicated to research and development in radiochemistry and preclinical imaging: RIPA (Radiochimie et Imagerie du Petit Animal – Radiochemistry and Small Animal Imaging). The team offers its expertise to academic laboratories and biotechnology companies for their R&D projects.
It notably develops innovative and experimental radiotracers for preclinical studies. The design of new labelled molecules requires sophisticated radiosynthesis protocols, integrating starting ligands specifically designed to facilitate radionuclide incorporation. The team is able to cover the entire value chain, from the chemical synthesis of the ligand to the preclinical study, thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment.

Services: Production of radioisotopes (¹⁸F, ⁶⁸Ga, ⁹⁹ᵐTc, ⁸⁹Zr, ¹⁷⁷Lu) and radiolabelling, purifications, quality control, stability studies, formulation for in vivo injection
Preclinical imaging
Available equipment: 1 dedicated laboratory, 1 LABPET 8 Triumph II Trifoil Imaging multimodal micro-PET/SPECT/CT imager, 1 VECTor7 MILABS micro-PET/SPECT/CT/OI imager (available end of 2025)
Services : Design of preclinical imaging protocols, preparation of ethics applications for animal research authorisation, animal model setup, radiotracer injections, image acquisition, reconstruction and analysis, biodistribution studies
