Ses domaines d'application n'ont cess\u00e9 de se multiplier depuis 25 ans. On distingue deux types de RMN : la RMN qui \u00e9tudie les liquides et celle qui \u00e9tudie les solides.<\/p>\n        \n        <div class=\"domaine-card\" data-aos=\"fade-up\" mol\u00e9culaire<\/h3>\n            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"domaine-body\">\n                <p>En RMN du liquide \u00e0 haut champ, l'une des applications phare est l'\u00e9tude de la structure des macromol\u00e9cules biologiques (prot\u00e9ine, ADN), de leurs interactions et de leurs mouvements, qui permettent de mieux comprendre leur fonction.<\/p>\n                <p>Ce type d'\u00e9tudes a notamment valu le prix Nobel de chimie en 2002 \u00e0 Kurt W\u00fcthrich, pionnier du domaine qui, par exemple, en d\u00e9terminant la structure du Prion a permis de mieux comprendre les m\u00e9canismes responsables de l'enc\u00e9phalopathie spongiforme bovine (ESB), plus connue du grand public sous le nom de 'maladie de la vache folle'.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n composition en mol\u00e9cules de fluides biologiques comme le s\u00e9rum sanguin et l'urine, permettant ainsi de diagnostiquer certaines maladies.<\/p>\n                <p>Des d\u00e9veloppements tr\u00e8s r\u00e9cents permettent m\u00eame d'\u00e9tudier la composition de tissus intacts tels que des fragments de biopsies sans avoir recours \u00e0 une \u00e9tape d'extraction des mol\u00e9cules qui alt\u00e8re la composition de l'\u00e9chantillon, et cette technique appara\u00eet tr\u00e8s prometteuse pour le diagnostic pr\u00e9coce de tumeurs comme par exemple dans le cancer du sein.<\/p>\n
